i have done a small bit of playing around with the maxdim value of autopano in the past. it seems this has an effect on not just the amount of time it takes to load images and complete control point creation, but also on the quality of the stitching, sometimes adversely.
is there there an 'optimum' value for maxdim? whether it be a discrete value or a percentage of the input image size? do higher/ lower values translate into a higher quality control point set? my focus is on getting the absolutely best quality in the final, stitched pano. spending extra time is not a problem, as long as it is all/mostly automated (the computer can be left in the corner crunching away for days at a time if need be). thanks! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hugin and other free panoramic software" group.
