Something I am missing is a logical (or spatial) check: A wrong cp
doesn't necessarily have a larger error (usually of course it does) but
it can mess up the rest. Particularly if there are few cps it can lead
to all cps having relatively large errors without the wrong one having a
significantly larger error.
Isn't it possible to check something like this: If cp A is on the right
of cp B in one image it can't be left of cp B in an other image?
(Of course with just two cps in an image pair this sort of wrong point
would just lead to the image being turned upside down. But if you
replace cp B by several cps in the previous sentence it should work.)
