Some (four) years ago I was working on a tool that classified all the features in a photo by measuring the absolute angles between them - This is possible if you already have the lens distortion calibrated (tools such as SIFT/SURF classify the features themselves, which involves a lot of image processing). The idea was that chains of features in one photo could be matched against similar chains in other photos just by comparing the angles. This was quite promising, but slow in perl, it would be an interesting project for someone to pick up and write in a more suitable language. -- Bruno --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hugin and other free panoramic software" group.
