Hello All,
I have had a problem with my camera (Pentax K-30) not writing the correct
"lens ID" and "lens type" to the exif data, and that was recently fixed by
a firmware update after reporting the problem.
I have added my lens data to my local lensfun database, but hugin is not
seeing the lens.
Hugin reports the correct camera maker and camera model, but reports the
"Lens name: Unknown (0x0816)".
A check of the exif data and the lensfun data reveals a minor difference
in text defining the lens.
The exif data has " Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 II DC HSM".
The lensfun data has "Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM", which is in
the same style as other Sigma lens in the lensfun database.
Does the lensfun <model> have to be a verbatim copy of the exif "lens ID"
or "lens type"?
Cheers,

Regards,
Terry Duell
