This is not very helpful. When using the tip it would be nice if you could name the offending changeset. So it become a wild guess. The load code in Hugin was not changed in the last time. Also in vigra the jpeg load code was changed the last time at Oct 25, 2012, so a long time ago. So maybe there was a change in libjpeg? Which version of libjeg or jpeg-turbo are you using? Does other image formats (tiff/png) work?
