I tried yesterday to download the inno setup software with edge,
which informed me that it was blocked and probably malicious,...
I just tested it with Edge too and got the same message, but clicking
on the 3-dots menu on the download's row I had an option which allowed
me to keep it nonetheless.
Of course one can ignore the warning, but I'll go the 'roundabout' way
anyway, just to be on the safe side. It'll just take a little longer.
And I'll have to adapt your script to the folder structure on my
machine. Please bear with me!
Okay, so I've checked the inno setup installer with virustotal, and it
came out clean. I installed the software, adapted the .iss script to my
folder structure and successfully built an installer from it. The
installer installs Lux both single-user and all-user, but I've failed so
far to get the mime type associations working, and I'd like to have that
included. The options to associate the mime types are displayed, but
they have no effect on my system. So I'll need more tweaking time!
I'll post again when I get round to do more work on the installer.
Can inno setup also create an uninstaller? When testing, I used the
system's own uninstall process (worked fine), because I couldn't figure
out how else to do it.
