I just went through and cleaned up all the warnings on rc2 (thanks to @Robert Clausecker for pointing them out).
What I didn't clean up are the warnings for strncpy() and snprint() about truncation of strings. There appear to be a couple of logical bugs in bmp.c and parser.c that got fixed as a result. These bugs would probably be very rare to appear in actual practice. Interested in a tarball?
