Interesting link, but I can't see it being old Nibs on current projections (speculated) of about 5 years transit round our solar systems' Jupiter which would not tally with (an up to) 3 light years object distance now. If by some chance there is a connection- we will all blink out rather smartish at around one third the speed of light ,massive object, passing that close. Ouch!! The sun would go absolutely ballistic ,surely- and what would happen to the planets? Assuming the 2012 scenario, that is, when Nibs is due to get more locally known- by next May ! I hope Nibs is all nonsense- but time will tell. Ah Time... a great healer too , apparently! - when ones got it , that is :)
