I haven't got the link to hand , but a while back I read a good article on the Tetra Police radio setup(UK) that pointed out that with wide bandwidths now available and futhermore, with an already effective radio system working, -the 'pulsed multiplexed ' [at ELF] tetra system seemed, on the surface, rather uneccessary. Hmmmm.....
