Thinking about bats in caves by their millions navigating in the dark
does make me query if it's all done by sonar.
It seems so much processing from a tiny brain and some other mechanism
would ring more readily true for me- like a superimposed grid,say!
Sharks using electric field detection of prey is another one- we don't
really know how the signals are processed, as far as I know.
There could also be parallel (multiple) mechanisms at work in any
complex system.
No reason to stick at one. The same goes for Hum issues.
We'll need a new thread to continue nature studies...
