The Hum does give the impression that it changes direction. It can
come in at any angle - left right, diagonal, up through the ground,
from above, changing rapidly or not. What you think you're 'hearing'
is the result of you sensing an interference pattern that's
transmitted from somewhere, anywhere, and it's that anywhere that's
one of The Hum's mysteries. A visual analogue is like the moire
pattern that changes as net curtains blow in the breeze.

Very loud here in NE London UK over the last week or so, and as
written above in constant flux. It can be 'heard' throughout the day,
especially when it's quite. I'm used to it now, so it doesn't bother
me anymore, well not so much as it used to. It's like it has something
to say, which I believe it does.
