Yes, this a typical presentation of world wide hum..
Aukland, Taos etc. but it's not the one I get. Thankfully!
This Brandon hum et al has a  far ?  [underground] machine- or gas-
pipe feel to it, and doesn't get reported/filed as stop/starting much-
if at all.
I suppose what I'm postulating is a 'Background Hum' and another,
[separate or not] 'Intelligent Hum'.
Of course, in due deference to absent 'friends' , I could add a third -
as 'LF Tinnitus Hum'  but I hold little belief in this 'minor
possible' - but it can't be discounted in some cases. Who knows what
others hear?
At least -lets say a 'phantom Hum' for that one.

I quite like this broad clasification as it starts to lend authority
to a disparate field of neglected 'Official' enquiry.
