Pollution if un-intended would be the usual interpretation- but I
agree it could be both intended and polluting, depending on whether
you were a 'target' or not -and/or receptive to it in a negative way.
If hum stops rabies inadvertently- it could be considered a benefit to
some- but only when finally bitten :)
