This can be subjective, to say the least but the other day I had a
problem with my internet connection.
It was dropping out at odd times, though when tested the download rate
never dropped much below the rated 10Mbits/s nominal level.
On replacing a faulty inlet cable screen [outer] connection to the
modem and renewing said modem for a much newer model my internet was
back to normal.
And the hum 'modulation' seems to have stopped.
The hum is still there at steady low level, possibly the old
favourite, grid lines, motorway infrasound ,or even, not too distant
rail lines- modulating who knows what?
Suffice it ti say the leakage of microwave low level radiation is
quite capable of mixing with other RF noise from many local Mobile
Phone masts etc so that puts this one top of the suspect list [again]
right now.
Nothing new in this opinion generally, but reportage of any sort is
worthwhile in this tricky hum scenario.
I hope this sounds a positive- and that the modulations [easily the
most annoying part of ongoing Humdom-next to On /Off] stay muted.
