Hello Pat, A most interesting and important post, the fact that you hear the Hum with impaired hearing adds to the mounting evidence that the Hum has nothing to do with sound waves. In the UK the Hum has been causing problems for over 40 years and during this time it has been brought to the attention of various Government Ministers and their so-called experts, all of whom have stated that the Hum is a low frequency sound wave on the threshold of human hearing that can only be heard by people with extremely sensitive hearing, but, as some of us know to our discomfort, this is utter rubbish. As for being on the threshold of anything, for some people the Hum is so powerful it drives them from their homes.
