Hi All Interesting observations John.
You will note from my work that I have noted HUm intensity seems to depend on position of JET stream. This affects high and low pressure systems and boundaries between them. It is also related to solar activity and planetary cycles both of which others have commented on effects of HUm intensity. Clearly all these factors alter the propagation of the Hum energy through the atmosphere and/or lithosphere.
