Wow, it's like watching someone slam a BMW for being hard to drive, I can't 
understand how someone would ever begrudge the $700 they paid for this rockin 
piece of gear. I love the RM1X, I'm definitely a #2 category in that I fairly 
well use the 1x to trigger external as opposed to the internal sound 
module......but I still like a lot of the drum patterns on the thing and love 
the way the sequencer lets you join different parts together from the 
internal drum patterns...down to the individual drum sound. 
No, I'll truly say that as someone who's tried a ton of what's out 
there...the Rm1x does what it's meant to do incredibly well. Name me a 
synth\sampler\drum machine etc etc that doesn;t have it's faults. As Fboy 
slim says, it's the grit that makes the groove.
