I use a CS2x with my RM1x (and a MU100R, a FS1R and a AN1x) and just the
CS2x and RM1x are a nice complement to each other. I see no reason why you
would not create a good setup with these two... Just one thing: I barely use
the RM1x as a sequencer, I mostly use it as another sound generator, but
there's no reason why you wouldn't/shouldn't do it...

I used to own a MC505, but I sold it to get a RM1x, the sounds are much
better and the patterns are too. And, the Yamaha user interface is just a
bit easier to use, compared to Roland's (but that's my opinioun)
