that sounds like a good work flow. i cant really duplicate it as the only
external gear i have is the rm1x. i have the typical audio apps though. i
thought about doing the sequencing in cakewalk 9 but for some reason i had it in
my head that i needed to use the rm1x as a standalone unit. the sequencing on
it is really cool. it did strike me as a possiblility to make things in
cakewalk that would correspond to sections on the rm1x.

i tried that and had a hard time getting the rm1x to be multitimbral -- it only
played back the track i had selected. what's up with that? the next piece of
gear i want to get is a sampler. got any ideas for the chronically poor?

ive gotten some great results syncing the rm1x to acid. acid is like a virtual
phrase sampler. good practice should i ever get something like an su-700.
