Hi list, I'm wondering about something that's happening when I record myself playing the rm1x into an mc-50 mk II. The problem begins when I try to record a blank measure of sysex to the mc-50 at the front of the song. To do this, I put the mc-50 into record-ready and turn the rm1x's style knob one turn to activate the style. But the mc-50 immediately gives me an error message that its buffer is full. So instead, I mute all active tracks on the rm1x and play that for a measure. Then I go into "mix" (overdub) mode on the mc-50 and start the rm1x at measure 2 and proceed to make a song. However, when this is finished and I try to record it back to the rm1x in song mode, it doesn't set the tracks to their proper instrument, level, etc.... They all go in as anlgkit1, though I can go back later and re-assign them. Still, this doesn't seem right and I reckon i'm doing something wrong here. Is it because when I mute the tracks and record the blank measure, this mutes all the sysex as well, or is the problem related to when I record back into the rm1x? I've experimented with a number of different things and nothing seems to work yet.
