So what you're saying is that you started out using the computer, but then found it better to just use the dedicated hardware instead? It seems like when you learn the hardware component, it's ultimately easier to work your way around (even on the tiny display versus a 17" monitor), because you become familiar with the specific features of what the product is supposed to do. On the PC I've found it's easy to get really buried into too many features, web sites, plug ins, it's like you start to lose track of the most important thing, WRITING music.
