Hi Mike,

it often depends on the controller you are using..some older midi-devices
are notorious in sending stepped midi-data..

i assume you use the controllers on the rm1x and/or qy700 themselves to
create the control changes? On the rm1x there is a job called "smooth
controller data" i believe which makes it a little less staircase-y...
