Hi
I'm not that well-educated about the RM1X, but it's a machine i would
maybe like to use live in the future.
The problem is: i've (nah, the shop clerk) tested it out once, and i have
a question about midi timing and switching patterns or frases (whatever
you call em, you could call em loops)
Anyway, the shop clerk demo-ed the thing with different patterns on
each big white button, but he said the problem was you had to push the
white buttons in the right beat, or else it would sound out of beat.
There was no midi clock running at a steady 130 BPM for example. You just
pushed a button and the thing started looping a 130BPM, but if you pushed
another button the loop behind that button would start instantly at
130BPM, but totally out of sync with the other.
My question: is this usual behaviour, or is this shop clerk genuine
stupid? ;) And if this is usual behaviour, is there a way to circumvent
this? How are you using your RM1X live? Or are there any better
sequencers to be used live?
