Yes, you can. You just have to make the track that is sending to the
relevant midi gear the active track. ie if you have your virus set up to
recieve on channel 5 for a certain sound, you need to activate track 5 in
order to play that sound with an external keyboard. The RM1x will
automatically send on the active track and channel, regardless of what
channel your keyboard is sending on.
