Hi all,

I'll start by saying I'm a little new to linux on PDA's but have done work on embedded routers and the like and run Linux servers at work.

I have an Ipaq HP 2495 (hx2495), I currently dual boot using Win and Hazret to use GPE. 4GB flash= 1GB VFAT for boot and shared files, 3GB Ext3 for standard linux root.

I cobled together a -somewhat- working linux using pieces from several firmwares around the net,
mostly based on the pxa270 firmware at Familiar, which is very out-of-date.
Shell and GUI work great... autodim/autosleep seem to lockup unit.

I've got buttons, Touch Screen, LCD and CF working but need wifi, bluetooth(no biggie) along with any other features.

Anyways... has anyone managed to get a kernel with working wifi going yet for his model?

How is the drivers structured, all compiled in or using modules?

One feature I like on Ubuntu (any many other desktop linuxes) is that the kernel can detect things as it needs and load them. -- some embedded distros I've worked with have everything compiled in, so if you changed or added hardware you were SOL on the OS.
