oh, then we are _definitely_ talking about different things. I was referring to 
ticks in my left eye, caused by me staying up too late, going to bars, 
listening to beat music (beat, bar, tick, right :-o )

Oh, so to have a pattern of 4 bars in Hydrogen, you go to Ardour's timeline 
and set the meter to 16/4 in that place - I guess possible, but hardly the 
best solution is it?

If Hydrogen was aware that the pattern span over four bars, it's possible to 
have one 16/4 pattern in Hydrogen accompany 4 bars of 4/4 in Ardour, which i 
what I want to do.
