I'm just no general fan of those release dates :) For me it's done when it's done.. But it might help the motivation :) > > also it is just a target date, so if we feel that it is not possible > to get everything done by then we can still postpone > if we have to choose between making the target date or delivering a > good quality site/release > the latter wins, let that be clear > > i'm also wondering what would be the best launch order : first the > 0.9.5 and then the site, or first the site ? > if we launch the site first we can put up a banner '0.9.5 release > coming soon' or specify the release date. > if the site is launched first we know for sure that users that > download the 0.9.5 will be able to find all the info they need on the > new site > what do you think ? > I really don't know.. As i already mentioned before, it is not me alone who sets these dates. If a majority of the devs on this list agree that 0.9.5 should be released, we release it. I'm writing something about missing features in another mail.. > anyhow we need to wait for the manual to be finished for both the site > launch and the 0.9.5 release, or would you release the 0.9.5 with the > manual in the (rather bad) state it's currently in ? I would be ok with a release with an incomplete manual if most of the "complicated" things are covered. Hydrogen never had a "complete" manual.. It would be hard to wait for one.. - Sebastian
