hiho,
sins i have update the drupal core to 6.20 we have a small authentications
problem.
grrrmblhh.

@sebastian, the update was only a secure update. the database is unchanged.
because your
forum import script. i think everything is ok here.

the authentication problem:

login via ssl works as expected. but fallback to a non ssl site caused in a
unclear
authentication status. grmblhrrr. i don't find the problem in moment.
curios is that i don't change any from our configs. also i edit the relevant
login code
in the updated core files like i do it before(version6.15). this was only one
line code
in the login form. needed that the site switch to ssl before we send any login
informations. for example a password.

what i expect from the swithing protocol thing.

via ssl/https
* log into our site via ssl.
* users edit their own settings via ssl.
* adminstrators change site settings via ssl.

via http
* browse content as authenticated user
* edit/create content for example a forum topic as authenticated user
* search
* log out

i ask the drupal community forum. but no answer sins two days... grrrmble.

lg wolke
