Just thinking out loud here, but I wonder how you'd do that if the
problem initiator was WLM-managed?

Use a new jobclass?
Wait until the inits are all terminated?
Change the jobclass back to not wlm managed.
Test?
Then reset the environment?
You should be able to simply stop the initiator with P INIT,ASID=xx .. then
WLM will restart with a fresh initiator
