I believe John suggested using CLOSE TYPE=T to get a user equivalent of interval recording. This should update the catalog, and generate a type-64 SMF record with bit 4 of SMF64RIN set. My question is whether multiple such type-64 records have to be manually accumulated. In other words, if I generate 20 such records for a single file, does each one include the statistics from the previous record in the "before OPEN" or in the "Change" section?
