Following on from the instances cited already, I recall an error on the 370/155 where Convert To Binary of 100,000,001 did not work correctly. This was reported at a UK GUIDE meeting in the early seventies to a somewhat incredulous audience - so it is unlikely to be an "Urban Myth".
