As far as I know, Storage just uses a different mechanism (PC) to invoke the same code that Getmain/Freemain uses. Since the PC runs under the TCB that invokes it, I don't understand why anyone thinks there will be a wait of any type. Since Storage doesn't suffer an SVC interrupt, it's probably better for the CICS transaction than Getmain/Freemain.
