Hal, SMSTAPE(PURGE(YES)) deletes the TCDB entries any time a volume is ejected no matter who causes the eject. The idea is that rmm still has the volume details and so you dont need it also in the TCDB. NO - prevents the record being deleted on eject and ASIS allows the decision to be based on the library.
