Yes, the ATLTABLE is in the CBRUXENT exit supplied with CA 1 and TLMS. The CBRUXENT exit is only invoked when SMS detects a tape being entered into an ATL; a virtual-volume being defined to the VTS; and a physical tape being defined to an MTL. The value stored in the TMC has nothing to do with directing the allocation of the device; that is strictly a function of z/OS and/or SMS for an SMS managed volume.
Russell Witt CA 1 L2 Support Manager ............................................................................ ........ Thanks Russell, as I expected. Although, the CA-1 tape entry user exit (CL05244) wants to know the Tape Library name, maybe only ATLs and not MTLs? I think CBRUXENT is only called through OAM when an ATL exists, and therefore CA-1 only needs to know about ATLs and not MTLs. The table is called ATLTABLE. I hope to verify soon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@bama.ua.edu with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
