Ask the various organizations that are making serious use of them. My guess is possibly SAP, Oracle and various Websphere based services. Take a look at catalogs of Linux based applications. It is probably easier to move a Unix based application to Linux which is ASCII or Unicode than to z/OS Unix using EBCDIC. There is DB2 and Oracle for zLinux if I recall correctly. Also remember once we may have been pimple faced operators, college grads and application programmers. Using Linux under VM for serious work causes people to mature or be forced out. >------------------------------<unsnip>--------------------------- >Mostly, jobs for PFCSK's, as LINUX administrators. :-) > >Rick > >---------------------------------------------------------------------- >For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, >send email to lists...@bama.ua.edu with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO >Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@bama.ua.edu with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
