Ask the various organizations that are making serious use of them.  My
guess is possibly SAP, Oracle and various Websphere based services.
Take a look at catalogs of Linux based applications.  It is probably
easier to move a Unix based application to Linux which is ASCII or
Unicode than to z/OS Unix using EBCDIC.  There is DB2 and Oracle for
zLinux if I recall correctly.  Also remember once we may have been
pimple faced operators, college grads and application programmers.
Using Linux under VM for serious work causes people to mature or be
forced out.
