I think the solution is much simpler: in your archive job you SELECT and/or 
EXCLUDE SG's where and what is to be Archived.
E.g:
SCAN REALVOLS,SHOWVOL
SEL SGNAME=/
ARCHIVE

Add:
EXCLUDE SGNAME=nonarchivedSG

And CA-DISK will not archive in this SG.
