I doubt there's a shortage of people that manage people.  I would guess
that he's talking about the technical side.

For those that worry about what Merv Adrian is all about, note that he
just posted the piece, not write it.  I seem to recall that the Joe
Clabby piece was posted here earlier.

A lot of curious use of the phrase "mainframe management". I can't tell
if by that he means the technical stuff - application programming,
system programming, operations, and so on - or management in the sense
of managing the people who do those things.
