Doug, Sorry I won't be much help, but since it's your first post, I wanted to give you something. :) Our GSSA has used very little CPU. Here's the shutdown stats for a GSSA that was up on our largest lpar for about 6 weeks:

I don't know sysview very well, but I have a vague recollection of things using lots of CPU when we were testing the SAMS portion of it. Hope that helps a bit.
