Ali As John McKown mentioned, the IBM-MAIN list is oriented to the z Series. A quick peruse of a Google on "IBM System V" indicates that we may be talking about AIX here. If so, you might like to know there is an AIX-L list:

I need to stress IBM here since there were a number of other vendors whose systems have become - to all intents and purposes - extinct which were also grouped under the "mainframe" label.
