I guess that there is little interest in this. I got something working. I use CA-OPS/MVS to trap the SEND command. I use that to issue a new command, SENDUNIX. The SENDUNIX command is also implemented as a CA-OPS/MVS command rule. It sends the entire command string to a UNIX shell script, written in REXX. This REXX UNIX shell script eventually uses the UNIX "mailx" command to send the text to the user's mailbox. This works fine in a single image.
