What John said. I used to IPL for the backslide. It's not needed anymore for CICS and there is an command for Adabas also. Don't know about DB2. I don't know what I get from the Adabas reset as all protection logs use the hardware clock without the offset.
None of this applies if you're unfortunate enough to still run wilt hardware clock set to local time.
