Works great, but it is slow when there are many/large PDFs in the directory.
Is there some way to create a search index?

You can search all pdf documents in a directory;
open any pdf document and then use CTRL-SHIFT-F
to open the SEARCH WINDOW that lets you select
the directory and search all pdf's in that directory.
