Some 3270 emulators allow the title bar text to be set via the 3270 data stream. I don't know if there are any standards for this, but it would let you provide a short bulletin that would not eat into the architected 3270 real estate. I was thinking I'd seen a little utility for Tom Brennan's Vista to set the title bar from TSO or CMS, but I can't find it. Maybe I'm thinking of a different emulator.
