I doubt at. Why do you need an alternative?

There are chargeable products that do a lot more, e.g., SYSOUT
archiving. There are z/OS facilities and 3rd part products for routing
output to e-mail. Those, however, are not for the same niche.

It has limited functionality, but I know of no reason why it would be
deprecated.

 1. Why would you want a single line separator?

 2. IASXWR00 has a documented interface for the separator, so why
    not write you own if you need something nonstandard?
