James:

You have probably never been to Dubuque (I have a couple of times) there is
*NOTHING* to do but ski and the skiing is at best bunny hills for advanced
beginners. Oh yes there is a casino (I have never been in).
But the place is for raising corn (maze) and is flat as a crepe (except for the
area around the Mississippi river).
The closet real city is Chicago and thats the minimum of 3.5 hours by car.
Rumor has it there will be (maybe) a once a day train into Chicago. Thats how
isolated it is.

Essentially the only thing to do there is to drink.

Ed

IBM appear to have a similar mandate in Europe.  They have a data centre in
Brno in the Czech Republic.  I asked of the salary was per day or per week?
Turns out it was per month - speaks volumes.
