Linda, What is interesting about this development is that according to Dr. Loth, by increasing the number of atoms from 12 to perhaps 200 it may be possible to make the storage technology stable at room temperatures.
AFAIK, the highest density RDIMM storage currently available provides 16 GB per module. This technology could theoretically push that to 128 TB per module. The largest motherboard memory capacity I have seen is 288 GB (18 RDIMMs of 16 GB each). In a few years, this technology could permit the production of computers have a storage capacity as high as 2.5 Petabytes (2.5 x 10^15 bytes). John P.
