We're not running/using OMVS, so I don't think this is the case.

but when I did a netstat command, it showed an IP connection with a Windows server, so I don't think APPC is it.
For quite a number of years now, TCP/IP uses OMVS sockets, so you are using OMVS if you use TCP. That IP session may explain the ATX
