We run both CA-Datacom and DB2; my perception (not yet backed up by figures) is that Datacom is considerably less resource-intensive than DB2. One thing I hope to do this year is to figure out a way to compare their performance. First I need to make sure they are reasonably well-tuned, though, and then I need to try to determine what sort of differences there are in resource chargeback.
