While desirable acronyms do not have to be
unique.
For example, SMS is an acronym used in VTAM or SNA, and its use long
precedes "System Managed Storage". In the early days of DF/SMS I used
to search for APARs documenting SMS problems, but I got a lot of hits on
the VTAM version.
