We are running incremental backups nightly. We want to duplex this process thereby creating a copy of the incremental tapes. By default HSM creates all of these backup tapes with the name of DFHSM.COPY.BACKTAPE.DATASET. This creates a problem with defining a VSR (vital statistics record) that sends monday - fridays incremental copies to an offsite location. then recalls all five days back at the same time for recycle processing .. I hope this makes sense.. I cannot figure this out. Everything looks like its designed to move only one tape in or out of a location at a time ,, (especially when the tapes created all have the same dataset name) ..
